Our Story
Zenova MD was born from a shared vision at the MIT Sloan Executive MBA program. Our founders - Dean, Joe, David, and Andrei - met during their studies and discovered a common passion for revolutionizing healthcare, particularly in the realms of weight management and longevity.
Each of our founders has a personal connection to the treatments we offer. Joe's struggle with weight management led her to explore GLP-1 medications, experiencing firsthand their transformative effects. Dean, driven by his interest in longevity science, found that these medications not only aided in weight loss but also improved various markers of metabolic health. David's background in holistic health approaches complemented these experiences, leading to our comprehensive care model.
United by their experiences and armed with their diverse expertise, they founded Zenova MD with a mission to make these life-changing treatments more accessible while providing the support needed for long-term success. Our team doesn't just prescribe medications; we use them ourselves and are deeply committed to the holistic health journey we offer our patients.

Surgeon, innovator, executive, and entrepreneur with interests in health strategy, technology, and commercialization. He is a collaborative and empathetic leader of large, cross-disciplinary teams that tackle hard problems. Joe is an NIH-funded academic multi-organ transplant surgeon and serves as Vice Chair of Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). His transformative experience drove him to make these treatments more accessible.
Cardiologist and physician-scientist at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. His research program centers on the development and implementation of digital health solutions to improve cardiovascular health. As Chair of Medicine, his focus is on helping to build innovative new programs for our patients and supporting the careers of the growing cadre of fantastic clinicians, educators, and researchers at UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial. David's holistic approach to health forms the cornerstone of Zenova MD's comprehensive care model.
